In the 62nd session of the UN commission on the Status of Women, the role of female filmmakers in the film industry was mentioned to the global conference on the Status of Women for the first time. This is undoubtedly an important issues for the rights and interests of women in the film industry, their role and the improvement of industrial skills. This Forum was first opened at the United Nations conference on the Status of Women and was highly concerned by Women filmmakers from all over the world. Female filmmakers {Women In Film} forum became the permanent Forum of the United Nations conferenceon the Status of Women from this conference.
The 2019 Women in film forum will be held during the session of the UN commission on the Status of Women
